1. Can I go for a hike at Horseshoe Canyon?

No. Horseshoe Canyon and Orkney Viewpoint are closed for the season and will re-open for hiking in the spring of 2022. 

2. Can I come to the office for customer service?

Yes, the Kneehill County office is open to the public. Stop by during regular business hours (Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm) for in-person services.   

Face masks are required. Physical precautions (barriers) and COVID-19 protocols (sanitizing, etc.) will remain in place to ensure resident and staff safety. Please continue following all AHS recommendations for COVID-19, and do not visit the Kneehill County office if you are sick.

For your convenience, the following County services are available from the comfort of your home:

Bill Payments

• Pay your utility bills, tax bills, and other County invoices via online banking (set up through your financial institution).
• You can also pay by cheque through the mail, or by calling the office, 403-443-5541, to pay by credit card (except tax payments.)

Burn Permits Online

• Go online to apply for a burn permit in Kneehill County (required year-round.).

3. How can the public attend Council meetings?

September 16, 2021.

Council meetings are open for public attendance. Residents can also watch Council meetings online on Kneehill County’s YouTube channel. A link to the live stream is made available on the homepage of the Kneehill County website the morning of the Council meeting.
