Kneehill County is proud to highlight the Agripreneurs and Businesses that make our community great.
Just north of Wimborne, along Highway 805, Stephanie Fakner has turned her love of horses into a thriving business. Stephanie started her first colt in 2005 and has grown the business “Fired Up Performance Horses” to what it is today; her passion is evident through speaking with her and everything she does.
Fired Up Performance Horses offers everything from horse boarding, riding lessons, and horse training in their newly built 100 180-foot commercial indoor riding arena, to stallion services to their registered American Quarter Horse stallion Famous Ta Fire. The addition of the indoor arena has allowed Stephanie to offer year-round riding, barrel racing competitions, and allows different horse enthusiasts access to use the arena (i.e. drill teams, mounted shooting, and 4-H) no matter what the weather.
By taking a look at Fired Up Performance Horses’ website, one can easily see Stephanie’s long list of accomplishments through hard work and faith. When training her young horses, she prides herself in using natural, gentle, and safe methods backed by a lot of patience. Consignment sales have also become a part of her business which can easily be done through her long list of clients and followers. Fired Up Performance Horses is also a dealer for Excel EQ Supplements.
In between balancing a business and a busy family, Stephanie and her husband Micha are always contributing back to the community. They have hosted fundraiser competitions to raise funds for people in need and enjoy sponsoring events within the community. When asked what Stephanie would like Kneehill County to know about her business, her answer is humble; they love the community and always enjoy meeting new people and growing new friendships.
