Kneehill County Campgrounds will open June 1, 2020 with restrictions in place due to COVID-19.

Please note: To book a campsite at any of Kneehill County’s campgrounds, campers must 
pre-register and pay online prior to arrival.

  • 50% capacity; only one camping unit per site
  • All group sites will remain closed until further notice
  •  All units must be fully self contained, and unit must have own water source.
  • No washrooms or outhouses will be available at any of the sites
  • Payment and bookings must be made in advance through our online reservation system, available June 1, 2020
  • Garbage cans will be blocked open to avoid any contact during disposal
  • Playgrounds and sport courts will be opened, however these amenities are not sanitized and users are cautioned to follow hygienic practice, social distancing and all other Alberta Health Service orders as these are high touch point structures.
  • All campers are required to follow Alberta Health Services regulations that have been released relative to camping.
  • Use at your own risk. Please continue to practice good hygiene and physical distancing when accessing these parks, and do not visit the campgrounds if you have symptoms of COVID-19.

Parks and Day Use Areas

Horseshoe Canyon and Orkney Viewpoint are open to the public beginning Friday, May 15, 2020, with the following restrictions in place:

  • No washrooms or outhouse will be available at any of the sites
  • Garbage cans will be blocked open to avoid any contact during disposal
  • Picnic shelters should not to be used; regular and routine sanitization of hard surfaces is not taking place
  • Use at your own risk. Please continue to practice good hygiene and physical distancing when accessing these parks, and do not visit the parks if you have symptoms of COVID-19.
