  1. Snow Melting Weather to Arrive

With the natural springs in the hills and valleys already beginning to flow and with temperatures rising, we are expecting water run off on our roadways and many culverts to be plugged. We have operations crews already assessing and prioritizing the problem areas (including Rg Rd 23-4 south of Highway 585).

Please note that we have over 1200 miles of gravel roadways in Kneehill County. Any culverts that are plugged and not clearly marked please call in to notify us (call into office or fill out concern form on website). All low-level creek crossings will be closed. Should you see erosion alongside the roadways, if not clearly marked with signage/ribbons, again please let us know. Don’t drive into flooded areas; find an alternate route or avoid it as the road beneath may be broken up or washed away.

Thank you in advance for your patience
