Re: Kneehill County's Rural Water Project - Sunnyslope Water Service Area

As follow up from the information meeting held in Sunnyslope the end of November, Council is pleased to provide you with the following update. Kneehill County Council unanimously voted to continue with the Sunnyslope distribution project with construction commencing in 2011. This will be the final phase of our five year water project in providing safe potable water to over 65% of our County.

Thank you to all of the landowners who have approved their easements and for their cooperation to date. Over 70% of the proposed miles of pipeline routing have been signed. Not all landowners have been contacted yet as our Landman, Lowell Wattie, has been concentrating on land owners that have more miles on the proposed pipeline route. He will continue to contact the remaining affected landowners in the next few weeks. We appreciate your cooperation in providing Lowell the opportunity to discuss the details of this very valuable service to you and residents in your area.
