Election Workers Required
Kneehill County is currently seeking workers for the Monday, October 16, 2017, general municipal election. Selected candidates will be required to manage the election process which includes greeting voters at their assigned voting stations, having strong organizational skills, asking questions of voters, assisting with the voting process, completing the required forms, and counting ballots at the end of the day.
- 18 years of age or older
- Available to work Election Day, Monday, October 16, 2017. Approximate hours are 9 am to 9 pm or until the votes have been counted.
- Available for an approximate 3-hour training session on either September 27 or 28, 2017.
Previous experience in working elections would be an asset, however, training will be provided. Economic Development Officer
Kneehill County is seeking an energetic professional to be part of our Municipal Services team. As the organization’s Economic Development Officer (EDO), you will administer and be responsible for facilitating, promoting and ensuring community and economic development in order to enhance growth and stability within our community. The EDO is also responsible for facilitating economic development in regards to commercial business planning and initiatives, as well as assist local organizations, businesses and individuals with establishing economic development plans and projects.
In order to provide this expertise, you will bring an educational background with a minimum diploma or degree in Business, Marketing or Public Relations or other related disciplines. Formal training through Economic Developers Association of Canada would be an asset, as would experience in a rural setting, Agricultural tourism or Agricultural enhanced businesses.
